Spanning 4,000 sq ft, Taikoo Place’s own recycling centre The Loop was launched in 2017 as part of Swire Properties’ SD 2030 Strategy to promote sustainable development among tenants and the wider community. It features a retrospective exhibition of our sustainability work in Quarry Bay, a recycling centre and a food waste composter; a green wall that promotes waste management solutions and energy saving; as well as an outdoor garden that grows edible greens. The well-known recycling phrase “close the loop”, which refers to the principle that all resources can be recycled and reused, inspired the name “The Loop”. The establishment of The Loop is a role model for sustainability development for the entire Taikoo Place district, from building design, energy saving, to sustainable community-building – every factor counts to create a better tomorrow.

The Refinery is a private Members' Club located in Taikoo Place. Owned and operated by Swire Properties, Blueprint is a premium coworking space and event venue
provider. As a cornerstone amenity situated in Swire Properties’ Grade A Taikoo Place portfolio, Blueprint caters for the different business needs and working realities of today. A nurturing haven for startups and small businesses, Blueprint’s flexibility and scalability also accommodate MNCs’ temporal workspace and event needs, making it naturally fertile for connections between the two and amongst the community.
Blueprint originally opened in 2014 in Cornwall House. Upon the premise of engaging the wider business community to which startups had become a notable segment, Swire Properties’ developed Blueprint as one of the first developer-operated co-working spaces. As a keen supporter of arts and culture, Swire Properties introduced ArtisTree to Taikoo Place in 2008, making diverse arts and cultural events accessible to local communities. Since its launch, the unique multi-purpose space has made a significant contribution to Hong Kong’s arts scene, with landmark events including the inaugural Vivienne Westwood: A Life in Fashion exhibition, Outside the Box | Frank Gehry exhibition as well as Building M+: The Museum and Architecture Collection. To facilitate the ongoing redevelopment of Taikoo Place, ArtisTree has been relocated to its new home in Cambridge House.
Fitted with professional theatre-standard stage lighting and audio-visual technologies, the new 7,000 sq ft multi-purpose venue will allow for an even greater scope of arts programmes, with a particular focus on the performing arts. ArtisTree has also been designed as a platform for the emergence of innovative art forms and a diverse range of original works presented for the first time in Asia.
